  • @ease - mental health resource for young people under stress or worried about their thoughts and feelings. Includes advice on dealing with a range of problems, follow different characters in cartoon format, diary format, @ease quiz, information on severe mental health issues and treatments, including complementary therapies, research, medication and talking therapies, also Student and Mental Health pack online for advisers and online discussion group.

  • Active Reviewing - very useful site for teachers, trainers and facilitators, including tips, skills and articles on active learning and facilitating.

  • Adventure Activities Licensing Authority - information for users of services, activity providers and search for licensed activity providers.

  • Amnesty International UK Youth and Student pages - includes news, campaigns and action, reports and information for education.

  • Attentive Listening Tutorial - selection from a training programme, teaching basic communication skills.

  • The Australian Clearinghouse for Youth Studies - Australian site, includes international research and information resources, links and online chat area.

  • British Youth Council - national forum for young people aged 16 - 25 in the UK, organisation maintains a database of peer educartion projects.

  • British Association of Social Workers - including code of ethics, news, publications and many useful links.

  • Bullying Online - help and advice for children, young people, parents and education staff, includes advice, online resources and links, online discussion forum, bullying guidelines issued by the National Association of Head Teachers and advice by email.

  • Care Leavers Association - run by care leavers, includes links, conference information, news, message board and chat room.

  • Carelaw: Care Leavers Rights - very useful practical advice through questions and answers on topics, including changing your name, human rights issues, punishment, health care, pregancy, adoption, permission, leaving care secure accommodation and lots more.

  • Careleaversreunited.com - includes links, news, messages, histories and stories.

  • Care Leavers Website - advice on managing money and other key information for young people, from Solihull Council.

  • Community and Youth Workers Union - articles and reports, policies, campaigns, training, conference and links.

  • Connexions - Connexions strategy document, selected links for young people, parents and practitioners.

  • Citizenship Foundation - online resources for advisers, teachers and youth workers and young people on rights and responsibilities, personal and political issues, including online newsletter, case studies, links to organisations and policy documents, seminars and theoretical issues.

  • Criminal Records Bureau - "to help organisations make safer recruitment decisions. By providing wider access to criminal record information, the CRB will help employers in the public, private and voluntary sectors identify candidates who may be unsuitable for certain work, especially that involving contact with children or other vulnerable members of society".   • Informal Education - Learning from Living - improved and expanded site, includes the theory and practice of various aspects of adult and community education and youth and community work and community development, including information and bibliographies.   • International Youth Hostel Federation - Hostelling International - news, hostel information around the world, including the UK and Ireland, booking network and environmental charter.

  • International Youth Week 2007 - event ideas and good international links.

  • Make Space - campaign to develop clubs and opportunities for young people aged 11-16, open until 9.00pm after school, and during school holidays.

  • National Association for Youth Justice - Justice for children in trouble - UK organisation, campaigns for change in legislation, policy and practice to reform the youth justice system, promotes and develops community based methods of working with young people in trouble, publicises examples of effective policy and practice and provides information and training with the aim of improving the quality of work with young people in trouble. The site also includes UK and international links.

  • National Youth Agency - includes information on volunteering, conferences and events, publications and their youth information database, available by subscription.

  • RD4U - to support young people, 12 - 18 after the death of someone close to them, also Freephone helpline tel: 0808 808 1677, also private email service, personal stories, what's on in the North West and message board.

  • Scottish Youth Hostel Association - hostel map, alphabetical index and holiday information.

  • SPRITO-ELS - National Training Organisation (NTO) for sports and recreation, playwork, health and fitness, the outdoors, leisure attractions and caravan industry.

  • SureStart - UK government programme supporting children, families and communities, with information about the wide range of government and other services for children, quality and standards information and development, information on jobs and careers in the sector and recruitment grants, publications, events and consultations.

  • Taking IT Global and Global Youth Action Network - international collaboration among youth and youth-serving organizations in 125 countries, with programmes, events, online discussions, grants and awards.

  • Therapeutic Recreation Directory - ideas, resources and links, including games and puzzles, warm up activities, social activities, fitness and wellness, experiential activities, humour, team-building and more.

  • UK Motor Projects - cars and bikes, driving and transport: in education, youth work and youth justice, includes, projects, publications, mailing list and links to youth websites and motor websites.

  • The Who Cares Trust - works to improve children's andyoung people's day-to-day experience of care and to improve their prospects after care, working with young people and professionals. Site includes details of helpline, projects (including needs of disabled young people, health, lifeskills, education, preparation for employment), publications including online booklet for young people.

  • Your life, your future - booklet on being in care and leaving care for young people on what you should expect and what the government is doing for. Sections on being in care, leaving care, equal care for all, children and the law, safety, working with agencies + list of organisations and contacts for young people.

  • Youth against Racism in Europe - reports, information on Show Racism the Red Card (anti-racist football magazine) and political links.

  • Youth Clubs UK - resource for youth workers, includes news, consultations, project information, sections on resources, links, fundraising, also youth workers online discussion groups.
